Epiphany SIP Trunks from Buckeye TeleSystem can be connected to your premise-based phone system via any of the following handoffs:
- DS-0/FXS
- DS-1/PRI
- RJ-45/Ethernet
With SIP Trunks, you’ll have:
Reliability
It’s about the network, and Buckeye TeleSystem understands this. Unlike other Internet Telephony Service Providers that route your calls exclusively through the Internet, Buckeye gives you a choice. We can either route your calls publicly through the Internet, or your calls can be privately routed through Buckeye’s state-of-the-art Ethernet Next Generation Network (NGN). For additional flexibility, we can team with one of our partners to privately route your traffic from virtually anywhere in the world. With private routing, we have the highest level of control and can help ensure your calls reach their final destination with the clearest clarity.
Choice
With SIP trunks you have a choice on your bandwidth options, either Elastic or Dedicated Trunks. With Elastic Trunks, your voice and Internet service bandwidth is dynamically allocated. When there are no calls in place, you will have full Internet bandwidth, as calls are received/placed, your Internet access will decrease. Elastic SIP Trunks can be ordered in bandwidths of 2Mb (maximum 17 trunks) or 3Mb (maximum 23 trunks). If you need more than 23 trunks, or you do not want to share your Internet bandwidth, then you will want to choose Dedicated SIP Trunks. With Dedicated SIP Trunks, we will create unique VLANs for your voice and data, sized to your required needs. No matter how many calls you make/receive, your Internet bandwidth will not fluctuate! |
